Drugstore HACK: Get FREE Shampoo EVERY DAY!

At Coupon Mom we track the best Hair Care deals across all stores and match them with either printable coupons or newspaper coupons. When combined with sales, coupons and possible cash back offers, you can save 50% or more on Hair Care. But why stop there when you can get them FREE?  Follow these steps to get free Hair Care every week:

  1. Go to our Free Deals List which shows you the “Free with Profit” items across all stores.
  2. Once you find a deal at one of your stores, click on the store name in the first column to go to the full deals list for that store
  3. Check to see if that store has Hair Care (Pantene, Loreal, Garnier)  listed as a deal that week.  If not, you can check to see which stores in your state have those items on sale.  Just select your State from this list, and then enter the word “hair care” or “shampoo” or “conditioner”  into the search box or the brand of diapers you would prefer.
  4. Go to that store’s full list of deals and look for items that are free, or free with a “profit.”  These items will be at the very top of the list.

In many cases, the “profit” from a few items will be enough to cover the cost of the hair care items. Let’s look at an example that is very typical:

Store A has Brand X razors on sale and Brand Y toothpaste on sale.  After combining coupons and cash back offers, the razors will give you a profit of $4 and the toothpaste will give you a profit of $1. Even if you don’t need or want the razors/toothpaste, you can buy it and donate it to charity or give it to a friend.  You keep the combined $5 profit, and apply that toward the cost of your hair care item.  So if your hair care item is on sale for $7.94 and you have a $3 coupon, the Hair Care product will cost $4.94.  Apply the $5 profit from the razors and toothpaste  and your hair care items will be FREE with a 6-cent profit.

This “buy it even if you don’t want it” strategy can work for any item you need to make it free.  So check the Free Deals list on the Coupon Mom site each week and see which stores have items that are free with a profit.  Check the store’s full deals list and see if your favorite items are on sale with coupons too, and buy the profit items to cover the cost of the items you need.

Get FREE Tide Laundry Detergent Every Week With This HACK

Tide laundry detergent is one of the most popular items with Coupon Mom shoppers, so we track the best sales and coupons for Tide Detergent every week.  You can print Tide coupons and also find Tide coupons in the Sunday coupon circulars.  Combining coupons with Tide’s sale prices can cut the cost of Tide in half.

But 50% off isn’t good enough for us, so we’d like to show you how to get FREE Tide Detergent, practically every week.  It’s easy if you follow our directions.

  1. Go to our Free Deals List which shows you the “Free with Profit” items across all stores.
  2. Once you find a deal at one of your stores, click on the store name in the first column to go to the full deals list for that store
  3. Check to see if that store has Tide listed as a deal that week.  If not, you can check to see which stores in your state have Tide on sale.  Just select your State from this list, and then enter the word “Tide” into the search box.
  4. Go to that stores full list of deals and look for items that are free, or free with a “profit.”  These items will be at the very top of the list.

In many cases, the “profit” from a few items will be more than enough to cover the cost of the Tide detergent. Let’s look at an example that is very typical:

Store A has Brand X shampoo on sale, and after combining the coupons and cash back rebates, you’ll actually get the shampoo on sale with a profit of $3.  Even if you don’t need or want the shampoo, you can buy it and donate it to charity or give it to a friend.  You keep the $3 profit, and apply that toward the cost of the Tide.  If Tide is on sale for $4.94 and you have a $2 Tide coupon, the cost of Tide would be $2.94.  After applying the $3 profit from the shampoo, you’ll get the Tide FREE with a 6-cent profit.

Top 10 ways to save money on Christmas and holiday shopping

The holiday season is our favorite time to shop smart and save! Coupon Mom has practical and creative tips to help you shop for everyone on your list and entertain family and friends in style. You’ll be more relaxed and stress-free if you don’t break the bank! Get ready to relax and enjoy the holidays, knowing you’ve shopped smart. Save money right away with these holiday spending tips:

1) Make a menu for your Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners.

Sit down and list the dishes you plan to make and the ingredients you need to buy. Inventory your kitchen to see what you already have on hand – and be thorough.

2) Check weekly advertising circulars and CouponMom to see which stores have the best prices on the items you need.

Most stores will feature a few of items at rock-bottom sale prices – so you can cherry pick the best deals. Ask stores if they have a price matching policy. If one says yes, take the ads from all the stores to the price matching store and get the lowest price on every item in one store. (And you’ll save gas!)

3) Be a coupon hunter!

Thanksgiving and Christmas are the most important grocery coupon times of the year. Store circulars in newspapers have more coupons than usual in the two Sunday issues before Thanksgiving – and you can print great grocery coupons from websites like Coupon Mom.

4) Save by substituting and avoid expensive ingredients for your Christmas dinner.

For example, instead of using a $4 package of pecans for a sweet potato casserole topping, you might use a crumble topping with oatmeal, butter and brown sugar that costs pennies to make. Note, too, that it’s less expensive to bake a pumpkin pie than an apple pie – and much easier.

5) Stock up on holiday-time savings.

Take advantage grocery bargains right after Thanksgiving and Christmas and stock up for future meals. If you have the freezer space, buy an extra turkey or two. Don’t forget the sales on canned pumpkin, cranberries, gravy and pie crust mix – and you can use them all year.

If you love the holidays as much as Coupon Mom, you’ll love shopping with these tips and strategies for getting the most for your dollar, with the least stress possible.
