Today my husband and I decided to see how much spare change we could find around the house to take to the Coinstar machine at the grocery store.    If you redeem your spare change for a retailer gift card instead of cash, there is no service charge (which is usually 10.79%).  That’s easier than rolling coins and taking them to the bank!  Plus it got me to clean out some drawers.
